buy cbd oil online

Does anyone remember the late nineties? In the days of squealing dial-up modems, buying anything online was considered dodgy.

At the same time though so was anything made in China. How things have changed. Buying things online has become almost too easy these days. But, in new, unregulated markets such as that of CBD oil, it’s still easy to end up with a low-quality or even a dangerous product.

How to Buy CBD Oil Online – Five Tips for Getting the Right Product

  1. Look for an Organic Product
  2. Look for a quality Full Spectrum oil from a trusted source.
  3. Only buy third party tested products
  4. Look for a family-owned company with a good story
  5. If you are going to be a regular, look for a bulk buying discount.

1. Look for an Organic Product

A lot of people I meet have no idea that hemp is often used as a ‘clean up crop’. What this means is that after farmland has had a reasonable time of getting hammered with pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers and the rest, the farmers often plant hemp for some time. As it grows, the hemp ‘sucks up’ the chemicals from the soil, thus leaving the soil cleaner and leaving the plant, a chemical soaked nightmare which is then discarded.

This is such a beautiful quality of hemp. The downside is that whatever chemicals are in the soil during standard growing are also absorbed by the plant. In recent times, particularly around the vaping scandal, we are discovering that buildup of pesticides in the bloodstream can be dangerous for people.

So when you find a certified organic product, you are usually buying a product where not only have no chemicals been used in the growing process, but also, chemicals have not been used on the land where the hemp is grown for many years. So the bottom line is buy an organic product from a trusted source.

what does full spectrum cbd oil mean rainbow

2. Look for a quality Full Spectrum oil from a trusted source.

Many people talk about full-spectrum oil and isolate as two different products and, in some ways, they are. Since THC can build up in the bloodstream, some people don’t want any THC whatsoever in their system if they have to be drug tested. So in this way, the isolate can be useful. But, when we look at many of the other isolates that we use in society, we can see that many useful components and enzymes that provide a balanced environment for the active ingredient are missing. This can often have detrimental effects. Particularly in the field of medicine, we extract codeine and morphine from Opium, cocaine from coca leaves, ephedrine from ephedra, valium from valerian, etc. In many of these cases, the isolate can have a much more damaging effect on the body since it lacks the ‘full spectrum’ effects of the original plant.

Also, to get an isolate requires a lot of additional processing. This can involve heating the oil to release the THC. Unfortunately, this can kill a lot of the other components of the plant. With full-spectrum oil, the whole plant is usually CO2 extracted so you get the full rainbow of goodness from the hemp plant including, yes, sometimes, tiny amounts of THC which as we know in legal hemp oil doesn’t usually get higher than 0.3%.

third party testing

3. Only buy third party tested products

It is all well and good for a company to test its products. I mean it’s not like companies have ever been known to fudge the results of studies right? Right?

To make things clear for their customers, good CBD companies these days use third-party testing. This is where an independent company is hired to test their products. The results are often published on the company’s website. In addition to this, you can look for a company that produces at an FDA approved facility.

4. Look for a family-owned company with a good story

Often, shady CBD companies tout their goods on the internet with very little information about themselves or their products. A good business has a good story, is family-owned and operated and will be very open in communication with you whilst providing top quality customer service. Of course, no one is telling you what to do, but if a company has a more corporate, medical vibe about it, that could be a cause for concern for me personally.

5. If you are going to be a regular, look for a bulk buying discount.

CBD oil is expensive, there is no doubt about that. Buying a cheap oil though is hardly a solution. The chances of finding a cheap oil that is also good quality are, well. pretty much zero. This is because of growing time but also, the extraction process takes time, costs money and produces very little yield (extract) for an enormous amount of hemp plants. The price of CBD oil will come down over time but for now, we have to try and find a balance between finding a high-quality oil (which is going to cost more) in a way where we can get the most value. If we know what oil we need, it is better to buy in bulk as good companies often give a discount for buying more than one product.

  1. Hi Mate

The isolates have much lower THC but are also often highly processed. Obviously if you can have any THC in your blood, they do provide a purpose. Its unfortunate though.

  2. Thanks for recommending CBD biocare through this post. I make use of cbd oil products mainly to relieve myself of stress and hip pain. It works well for me but I only go for the isolate oils and never for the full spectrum. I couldn’t stand the use of THC at all. The tips you shared concerning things to lookout for when buying a CBD oil product are spot on especially the their party testing. That would ascertain that the product is perfectly safe for use.
